The Fine Print

I really don’t like having to write this section, in the past I’ve been more relaxed and trusting when it comes to people keeping commitments they make, but unfortunately, as with so many things, a few can ruin it for everyone else.
 
My time is important –  I spend time, energy and money to ensure I am looking my best for you and set aside the time we’ve agreed on to ensure you get my undivided attention.
 
The first time we meet I will require cash, but may also require a deposit especially if meeting outside Manhattan which requires travel costs.  
 
While cash is always my preferred method of payment, once we’ve established an ongoing relationship we can discuss other options.
 
For overnight or longer get togethers, I’ll require at least 50% plus travel costs prior to confirming the meeting and booking travel, and the other 50% prior to departing or immediately upon arrival.
 
Deposits can be paid by Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, Paypal or Bitcoin.  
 
I understand we all have emergencies and plans change, so if you let me know 48 hours or more (5 days if requiring travel out of state) prior to our planned get together I will appreciate it and I will apply any deposit to a future booking. 
 
If you cancel within 24 hours or you are a no show any deposit is non-refundable.  If you have not given me a deposit then I would kindly request some kind of compensation, 50% at the minimum or at your discretion.  If you simply don’t show up it would be the gentlemanly thing to send 100%.  This can be sent electronically even via gift card, basically an acknowledgment I have spent my time and energy for you.
 
If you want to book with me in the future after a last minute cancellation or no show then I will definitely require some kind of compensation for the previous appointment (if not already provided).
 
I am not in the habit of blacklisting people from my own personal list or a shared industry list but if this happens more than once I will consider it.
 
I’ve not had these policies in place in the past, but some people seem to think these days that just not showing up then expecting me to go out of my way to see you again is ok.  
 
And I’ve had to chance people I’ve trusted for years for the balance of our agreed upon compensation, which is something I hate to do, which is why I may require 100% up front if traveling outside of New York.
 
Basically just be a respectful gentleman and we will be fine.
